The Little Androscoggin River is a host to many lakes and ponds along it trip to the Androscoggin. These connected ponds are only three of many along its travels to join the Androscoggin River in Auburn. Come and enjoy a very relaxing and beautiful out and back paddle between these three ponds. Views of Buck's Ledge and erratics in North Pond, sandy beaches in South Pond and shallows in Round Pond, a popular fishing area.
Certified Maine Geologist, Mark Brockmann, will join us and discuss the geology of the area, how it formed, and other geological interests in the area.
Put in is on Round Pond located just off Rt. 26 on Howe Hill Road across the street from the Local Hub. Plenty of parking.
