A lovely paddle through very rural farmland around Canton Point with lots of potential for eagle and heron sightings.
Put in:
N44°30.229' W70°23.471'
Meet at the Verso boat launch on the Canton Point Road in Dixfield at 9 a.m.
Take out at Canton IFW boat launch:
N44º28.854’ W070º16.571’
To reach the take out point follow Canton Point Road to Rt. 140; take a left on 140 and go approximately 2 miles to the IFW boat launch on Dorey Road on your right. The road is marked with a blue street sign but the public boat sign is not easy to see unless you are right at the road.
