Fall Foliage Paddle in Hanover & Rumford

  • Saturday, September 22, 2012
  • 10:00 AM
  • Hanover & Rumford, ME

Enjoy the first full day of fall on the beautiful Androscoggin River. Bring your camera as you might see eagles, ducks, geese and even an occasional deer or moose.

The day has two paddling options:

1.) Put in at the Hanover Town Office for a journey of about 9 miles (2.5-3.5 hours of paddling). This stretch will wind through Rumford Center and Rumford Point.

2.) Put in at the Madison River's Edge Resort for a shorter trip of about 2.5 miles (under an hour of paddling).

Both groups will take out at the Rumford boat launch (near McDonald's), where the River Valley Growth Council will sponsor a free BBQ for all participants. Free shuttling back to your car will be provided by Stony Brook Recreation and Campground.

To sign up or request a boat, contact Bill Hine at (207) 562-8278 or Jim Rinaldo at (207) 364-2983 or jimrinaldo@yahoo.com.
