Fall Foliage Paddle in Hanover & Rumford

On Saturday, October 1, join the Androscoggin River Watershed Council, the Mahoosuc Land Trust, and the River Valley Growth Council for a lovely paddle through fall foliage in western Maine.
Whether you're a new or experienced paddler, we've got something for you...
Looking to try a new sport or like to paddle but don't have your own gear
?
Grafton Notch Campground
will provide canoes at no cost. Meet at the Madison Motor Inn on Route 2 at 10:30 a.m. Please contact Jim Rinaldo to reserve canoes by emailing
jimrinaldo@yahoo.com
or calling 364-2983.
Experienced paddlers with the own gear
will enjoy a longer journey starting at the landing at the Hanover Town Hall. Meet at 9 a.m. there to join the group.
Want to try kayaking before you buy?
Ecopelagicon
of Rangeley will offer kayaks to try for free from 10 a.m. until noon at the Rumford river access on Route 2 near McDonald's. Instructors will be on hand.
All groups will meet up at the end of the trip at the Rumford river access, near McDonald's on Route 2 in Rumford. There, the River Valley Growth Council will host a
free BBQ
from 11:30 on for all participants, and shuttles will be provided back to your vehicles.
